Learn how to build a beautiful, professional-looking cake from the ground up in this beginner-friendly class at Cake Hoopla’s Tigard studio. You’ll work with a real 3-layer cake and gain hands-on experience stacking, filling, and frosting—essential skills for any aspiring cake decorator. Then learn a simple and elegant way to finish the cake with a frosting swirl design and cascading gold leaf.
Already taken this class or a similar one? Sign up again! Repeating the class is a great way to strengthen your technique and gain confidence before moving on to more advanced decorating.
Whether you're brand new to decorating or want to reinforce the basics, this class sets you up for success with a strong foundation.

- 3-layer, 6" cake (feeds around 10) in your choice of flavor, plus and frosting, gold leaf, and tools.
- Professional instruction:
- Learn how to stack and fill a level cake for a solid foundation, essential for building a professional cake.
- Practice coloring frosting for an ombre effect.
- Master the technique of frosting a cake with a smooth finish.
- Practice a simple swirl design for an elegant finish to the cake.
- Learn to apply edible gold leaf.

Cake Care Instructions
Store leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month. To avoid color changes, store the cake/cupcakes out of direct light.
Cakes/cupcakes are best consumed at room temperature. Remove the cake/cupcakes from the fridge 1 hour before serving, or from the freezer 2 hours before serving, to bring them to room temperature.
