Part 1 of Our 2-Part Beginner Series / November 8, 2025

Celebrate the season while learning the fundamentals of cake decorating in Cake Hoopla’s beginner-friendly Fall Cake Foundations class! Students will work with a real three-layer cake and gain hands-on experience stacking, filling, and frosting with an elegant swirl finish—core techniques every decorator should know. This class one goes a step further by introducing fondant: students will create pumpkins and marbled autumn leaves, then learn to cascade them down the side of the cake for a professional finish.

Whether you're brand new to decorating or want to reinforce the basics, this class sets you up for success with a strong foundation.

By the end, students will leave with a beautiful fall centerpiece that feeds around 12, as well as the skills to recreate the look for holidays, birthdays, and beyond.

What's Included: 

  • A 3-layer, 6" cake (serves ~10) in your choice of flavor, with vegan chocolate and gluten-friendly fetti options available
  • Vanilla buttercream frosting, fondant, sprinkles, and use of professional decorating tools
  • Expert instruction, covering how to:
    • Stack and fill a level cake for a stable foundation
    • Frost with a smooth finish and add an elegant swirl design
    • Marble fondant colors, use cutters, and arrange cascading autumn leaves
  • A sturdy to-go box to safely transport the finished cake

Your booking can be canceled up to 5 days before the event. If you need to cancel your booking with less than 5 days' notice, you will be issued an electronic gift card equal to the price of your booking. No-shows will not be refunded.

Cake Care Instructions

Store leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month. To avoid color changes, store the cake/cupcakes out of direct light.

Cakes/cupcakes are best consumed at room temperature. Remove the cake/cupcakes from the fridge 1 hour before serving, or from the freezer 2 hours before serving, to bring them to room temperature.
