Monster Mash Cake Camp | Portland Area

No school on Friday, Oct. 9? Cake Hoopla's got you covered! Join us for Monster Mash Cake Camp, a one-day School's Out Cake Camp for kids in grades 2–6 at our Tigard cake-decorating studio near Portland. From 9 a.m.–3 p.m., campers will decorate a 6" monster cake, create edible Halloween projects, play games, and more.

This one-day camp is a bite-sized version of our popular summer Cake Camps, designed especially for kids in grades 2–6. The main event: each camper will decorate their very own 6" monster cake to bring home! Campers will learn fun cake-decorating techniques while personalizing their monster with their choice of fur color, facial expression, horns, and other silly or spooky details.

And that’s just the beginning! We’ll sculpt edible fondant monsters, make delightfully gross edible ectoplasm, decorate special Halloween aprons, and wrap up the fun with a Monster Mash party.

Parents can relax knowing their kids are safe, engaged, and having a fun, creative day while school is out.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • A 6" monster cake to decorate and bring home. Campers will learn how to create a colorful buttercream monster, then give it their own personality with a choice of fur color, facial expression, horns, and other fun details.
  • A special Halloween-themed apron to decorate with spooky seasonal embellishments (repeat campers may choose a tote instead)
  • A fondant monster lab, where campers learn basic sculpting techniques to create their own colorful, edible monsters
  • An edible ectoplasm lab, where campers mix up their own delightfully gross edible slime
