1. Party-Style Field Trip (Private Room + Structured Fun!)
Want the space to yourselves and have a full-on cake/cupcake-decorating party experience? Our in-studio cake or cupcake-decorating party is perfect for groups of up to 18 decorators and includes everything you need for a fun, no-stress experience. You'll get a dedicated party room for 1 hour and 45 minutes of decorating time, plus 15 minutes to remove any decorations, food, and other person items.
Choose from themed cake/cupcake kits like "To the Moon" or "Myth Maker" or go freeform with our Wild & Free package. Each decorator gets their very own kit filled with pre-baked treats, colorful frosting, fondant, sprinkles, and tools to craft their own edible masterpiece.
There’s even time to enjoy snacks, play games, or show off everyone’s edible creations at our photo booth station. Want to take it to the next level? Add a live cake/cupcake-decorating demo from one of our cake pros for just $50. Kids will learn decorating tips and pro-level tricks—like stepping onto the set of a baking show.

2. Weekday Open Studio Field Trip (Now Available for Larger Groups!)
For a fun and flexible (and budget-friendly) cake-decorating experience without booking a private party room, our open studio option is a great choice. Normally limited to small groups, we now welcome field trips of up to 24 decorators when booked in advance for Wednesdays-Fridays between 12:00 and 3:00 PM. We'll waive our usual 10-person group limit during these weekday hours to accommodate your class, camp, or homeschool group.
During your visit, kids decorate their own sweet treat using a pre-made cake or cupcake kit filled with pre-baked goodies, colorful buttercream, piping bags, and edible accessories. A Cake Hoopla host will get your group started and help along the way while kids follow simple decorating guides or put their own spin on things.
Unlike our private party option, you can choose the number of kits you want and whether kids decorate individually or share. For example, three kids can share one 12-cupcake kit, with each decorating four cupcakes, making this a flexible, affordable option for schools and groups.
To enhance the experience, Cake Hoopla's cake pros can provide a brief cake or cupcake-decorating lesson for an additional $50 (subject to availability). It’s a great way to add structure and teach some basic decorating techniques before kids dive in.

3. Whole-Studio Field Trip (Best for Large Groups & Full Access)
Need space for more than 24 decorators? Book a whole-studio field trip and get exclusive access to our entire cake-decorating studio—including the party room and photo booth—for two hours. Perfect for large classrooms, youth programs, or end-of-year school celebrations, this option offers maximum flexibility and privacy.
- Accommodates ~40 decorators
- $700 minimum spend (includes cakes/cupcakes, apron decorating, merchandise, drinks, and more)
- Additional hours: $200 per hour
- Use the space however you like (think music, dancing, games!)
- Set-up time included: We’ll block off open studio bookings 30 minutes before your event so you can get settled.
